About us
Why Nikky Cares Foundation (NCF)?
We are particularly interested in subject matters that depicts qualitative knowledge about Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Northern Nigeria, creating a voice for the voiceless, re-building lives with international support, using real-life pictures and videos to tell the world about cases of abuses in Nigeria, raising hopes for the hopeless, and to complement the work of the government and not working against the government.
NCF has been a long-nurtured passion.
Adenike Olasanmi, the founder of Nikky Cares Foundation is a self – funded PhD student at Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham, United Kingdom, who does not have a significant capacity to do more for the society. Being a good ambassador of Nigeria, she has done her part in donating some anti-malaria drugs and antibiotics for children.
The donation is worth 350,000 naira (£700), receipts of purchase are available for sponsorship.
She did a master’s degree dissertation project with the title: To what extent does the Boko Haram threat pose a national security challenge to the Nigerian state? she submitted to the Coventry University in the United Kingdom in 2014.
With this project, she was able to find out that terrorism has affected all sectors of the Nigeria system, including and not limited to the economic, political, religion, region and regional sectors.
This 2014 project opened a research gap for her, which birthed her current project, Nikky Cares Foundation
The Internally Displaced Persons are at the receiving end of it all.
Blessed individuals need to arise and contribute their quota to make the world a safer place for all to live.
